Heather Hopkins has worked as a web developer for the last fourteen years, ten years with Augusta University. She began coding and designing websites as a high school student, and before graduating, had her own web design company. Since graduating from Augusta University in 2004, she has availed herself of numerous conferences, webinars, and master’s level classes at Augusta University and online to develop and refine her skills and knowledge.
Hopkins developed the templates and design for the university’s website and is responsible for creating and maintaining the majority of its web pages and social media outlets. She also provides campus training for users, for both the web and online calendar. Hopkins has handled the videography needs of the public relations office, including filming and developing promotional videos for athletics, student affairs, and the university. She also provides creative direction on many of the university's print publications and is responsible for the design of Augusta State University's print advertisements and billboards. She conducts research for our marketing effort, in class surveys, focus groups, and high school audits of university publications.
In addition to being the office’s “go to” person for anything computer-related, Hopkins teaches a variety of computer science and internet related courses through Augusta University's division of Professional and Community Education.
